Keep that Motivation!

Now that the winter months are closing in, its harder to keep that motivation, I know it is for me.  The mornings are much cooler, every window reflects the cooler weather ... I just want to curl up with a nice warm blanket and watch TV.  Wait, I can't!  For a brief moment in my busy day to day life I began to think of things that keep my motivation going.  Here's one of many:

1.  Make sure the work area / Personal living area is clean.  This is especially helpful when working out of the home.  I can't work properly when I know my house is a mess, even slightly.

So tomorrow, I'll be hitting on another motivation keeper.

New Ruffle Scarf

Introducing the messy flower!  I have always wanted to do a flower, after many trials I got it!  Now that I have the perfected pattern, I'm ready to make more!  I have so many ideas, some of which include lace!  I can't wait!

Halloween 2010

What a night!!!  Full of so much fun, taking the kids trick-or-treating!!  Shay and Brody's costumes were a hit!  They got so many complements... I seriously thought about making costumes to sell.. but then I thought about how much time it took!  Well, it only took three days for the two of them (Halloween day being one of them!) What a rush, late nights and all.  I finally got to catch up on sleep!  Pictured are Night fury from How to train your dragon and Godzilla.  I was a Harajuku girl to go with Godzilla.  My husband, who was suppose to dress up, was suppose to be a viking.

Adventures in Picture taking

I always knew I loved all forms of art, but I never thought I would enjoy Photography this much!  I am just eating it up!!  Most of my pictures I have taken in my town!

Out on a morning bike ride, running errands... I am starting to see the picture quality of just about anything.  I am starting to see things in a whole new light, ordinary things are starting to take on an artistic potential.  I find myself making weird noises to catch the attention of animals I pass on my morning strolls, Yeah, I probably look like a dork.  What am I going to do next?  Probably knocking on neighbors doors asking if I could take a picture of the cat in their yard, just so I don't look like some weirdo peeping in.  Either that or use a zoom lens while in hiding...

So I decided to try my hand and photography also, we will see how that goes!  I love any form of art, its exciting to me.  I have posted quite a few photographs to my etsy site.  Some I have altered, others I have left alone.

Recently I have posted all my hard work on Etsy (I have a link to my website on this page)! Now is the season for scarves! I really really love anything vintage, especially 1700's era. With that in mind, I designed these scarves! I wanted something totally wearable and extremely elegant. Classy! If your not too into all the colors and patterns, I also have solids and I'm more than happy to do a custom order in the fabric of your liking.
